Intelligent pressure transmitter with CANopen Interface

brief description

The pressure transmitters of the SMC type series are used for general industrial applications. Due to their robust design and special protection, they are also extra suitable for commercial vehicle applications.

The SMC communicates via the digital network protocol SAE J1939 based on CANopen technology. It enables communication between control units (such as engine/transmission/brake control and door control units) and vehicle components from various manufacturers. As a result, it is used primarily for heavy-duty applications such as trucks / trailers, construction machinery and off-highway vehicles, as well as buses.

product characteristics

  • fully welded construction
  • high chemical/media compatibility by the use of stainless steel
  • high rate of pressure cycle widthstand
  • intelligent communication via CANopen/SAE J1939
